Dr. Nina Van Volkinburg is a fashion ethnographer, educator, and writer whose work explores the shifting landscape of fashion and its impact on global culture. Known as “The Fashionographer,” she observes and unpacks how global fashion systems continuously evolve from both external and internal forces. Her thought leadership and research within fashion business have been featured in global publications and broadcasts, including Vogue, Elle, and BBC World News.

Nina is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Management & Business Educator, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Art, Design, and Communication. She currently leads the MA Strategic Fashion Marketing course at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where she has mentored hundreds of emerging fashion leaders from around the world.

Alongside her work in fashion, Nina is deeply committed to animal welfare. Through her platform Ida & Ink, she creates art that aims to raise awareness and donations for animals in need.
